My Story
Born in Brooklyn NY, raised in Chesapeake VA; Hip Hop Recording Artist Flip Barrison started in Music at the age of 18 years old. Writing lyrics to battle his younger brother then on to battling classmates, Flip had gained a passion to create music. By the age of 23 years old, he would join a local VA Beach independent label, Brown Image in 2006. Under the early moniker of F.Low, he left the Brown Image label to create his own Brand, Hot Bars Unlimited and would release his very first mixtape, "7 Cities Showcase" in Early 2007. Hot Bars Unlimited had recruited several artists in the Hampton Roads Area including Biggie Deaf, Da Problem, and Benefits to name a few.
In 2008, Flip and Biggie Deaf would collaborate to make a mixtape series, "New-Born Veteranz" that had created a buzz for the upstart duo.
In 2010, Flip Barrison would move to Richmond VA where the label, Hot Bars Music Group became an LLC becoming an actual Record Label and Media Company.
Flip Barrison currently has 24 album/mixtape releases under his current name, Flip Barrison and previous name, F.Low. 2017 he signed to Bentley Records for a 1 year contract to build and develop. Since then, Flip Barrison has become a leading name in the City of Richmond for hosting and throwing Live Shows for upcoming talent in the area. Providing stages for artists such as Reppa Ton, The New Juice Crew, and DRAM formerly known as Drama J, currently known as "Shelly".
